Shorty was Marv Hemingers best friend since age 7. He was my fishing buddy with many tales. I’ll miss our conversations of which we had many, mostly weekly. I miss him already. But we’ll fish together again Marv & Donna Heminger

Knowing you Charles (Shorty) added much to our lives. You were kind, helpful, and wise. We are sorry that we were unable to meet your goal of "before I retire or expire I want to dredge those damn canals", but be assured, one day we will do so. Hug dear Pat for us and ask her to do the same. Until we meet again, love and peace brother...

Although I only had the pleasure of meeting Shorty this past year I am very honored to have gotten to know him. Always full of wit and humor even on bad days. I will always remember the twinkle in his eye when he was he was being clever. My condolences to his entire family. It is never easy to lose the patriarch of a family. May he find peace in heaven where he is reunited with loved ones who have already travelled that road before him. Xoxoxo

My deepest sympathy to the family. Losing a loved one is one of the most painful thing in this world. But rest assured that Jehovah our God sees our sorrows and deeply cares about us. (1Peter 5:7) May you find comfort in God's word recorded in John 5:28,29 which promises a resurrection hope for all our dear loved ones.
